What? The car trap is functioning as intended. You don’t even need to empty it yet, but you will need to soon.

Yep. The trap still needs three more cars before we max the load limit, then they’re off to the crushers.

1) Thought they were better drivers than they are
2) Failure to listen to co-driver
3) Failure of pace notes
4) Significant change of surface after previous runs

There was an Oregon Trail Rally some years back when several cars went off at the same corner, mine being one of them, which ended our rally. I was waiting at service for their return and saw the car behind them come back, with the driver pointing at me and waving, shouting “BAD NOTE!! BAD NOTE!!” That’s about the only way this happens.

This seems to be from the Rikubetsu stage of the Hokkaido Rally, from 2012 or prior? But I can’t seem to find much else on beyond a single tweet that says that.
EDIT: found some more info . And yes, Sept 2012, Rally Hokkaido. And as translated by Google:
“By the way, it is Leg1 of the first day, but six of the car in SS3 Rikubetsu 1 has been off the track at the same place. Cause “so as not to thrust abandon” is too much water splash (artificial puddle) attention but had been given, becomes deep gradually water depth If you have been compliance with the split, after another car to fly out in the wake of the pond It was gone ... pattern.”

Yes it was. Our car was an Evo 8, it got rolled several times and we never found the rear wing. I had to ratchet-strap the rear subframe together to drag it onto a trailer.

holy shit. Im guessing everyone was ok, but damn. Must have been a lot of work to get that car back on the track.

Yeah, they walked away. Shaken up, but we had beers later. It had been rolled lightly and repaired once prior to that, so the shell was a writeoff.

Oh ok. Reused the innards on a new shell?

Not sure, actually. The engine and trans got sold off, but I don’t know where they went. My buddy built a Lancer Ralliart after that.
